It's almost time to grab someone to kiss and yell out Happy New Year! But first, bring in 2016 with oodles of free stuff. A variety of businesses and services are offering freebies Thursday to say goodbye to 2015 and start the new year right. Below is a list of the best New Year's Eve deals, because nothing says Happy New Year like not having to open your wallet.

Transportation: Looking to go all out and drink too much Thursday not? Then please stay off the roads, for your sakes and ours. If you can't afford Uber or a taxi, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has a list of free sober/safe ride programs across the country for New Year's Eve. In many cases, the programs offer 24/7 service. If you're taking the subway in Washington, D.C., you can ride Metrorail and Metro buses free between midnight and 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Food: Xtramart has free coffee every first of the month, which happens to fall on New Year's Day. For a limited time, the offer includes free pumpkin spice coffee. Kroger is offering free sandwich bread. BJ's is offering a free 60-day trial membership through Thursday.

Parties: Dying to see Pitbull in concert? Looking for the best free fireworks display? This list of free New Year's Eve entertainment has got you covered.

Fitness: Many gyms across the nation are offering free trials to help you get in shape for the new year. You can get a seven day pass, attend a fitness fair, or get a month free at your local gym. Just ask if they have any deals.

Other Deals: Discounts are sort of like free money, but, yes, you do have to spend a little to get something in return. Here's a list of national businesses offering 2016 coupons to get cheap pizza, clothes, furniture and other specials.
