The closest to thing to NFL legend Michael Vick might not be Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson.

Among the top quarterbacks in the NFL today, Jackson is the one who is often compared to Vick. Evidently, Jackson’s ability to attack opposing defenses with his legs as well as his arm seems to resemble that of Vick’s during his playing years.

With four double-triples already, Jackson is now tied with Russell Wilson, who hasn’t had a 100-yard rushing game since 2014 for second on the NFL’s all-time list.

Vick on the other hand, was able to compile that number over 143 games in his 13-year career. The fact that Jackson has been able to do it in just 23 games, it’s difficult to do a statistical comparison between the two since the sample size for Jackson is a bit small. However, he’s actually fared quite better than Vick did over the same period.

Jackson has been compared to Vick since he first took the field at the University of Louisville. While the comparison appears to makes sense due to the fact that none in NFL have done it quite as well as Jackson has thus far in his young career, a high school football player is starting to make noise after pulling off a very Vick-like move during a recent game.

Louisiana prep quarterback Anthony “Drew” Heinen appeared to be channeling Vick in Madden 2004 on an impressive touchdown pass for his Vinton (La.) High School football team.

The team put up a 48-0 rout during the team’s homecoming rout of D’Arbonne Woods. One of the best part of the said match was How Heinen almost turned into a video game version of Vick.

Heinen beautifully avoided a sack on the play and it was completely remarkable, let alone the deep bomb he did complete.

According to USA Today, Vick’s video game avatar would have been proud of Heinen’s play, and maybe even the real Vick would be proud, too.

Both high school and NFL fans would surely want to see more of Heinen’s unique brand of escapology and hero ball. Arguably, the football world hasn’t seen anything quite like Heinen since the last time a high school quarterback broke out an unstoppable touchdown pass.

As Heinen continues to deverlop his game, fans are likely to see another jaw dropper like this sooner than later. And maybe, Heinen could really be the next Vick the NFL has yet to have.
