The future of Vance Joseph is not looking good as far as the Denver Broncos are concerned. But it looks like the 46-year-old coach may not be left unemployed for long, with several teams reportedly considering him for a post.

According to ESPN, the Cincinnati Bengals loom as a potential spot for Joseph to be one of the defensive coordinators or even the head coach of the team. Joseph is no stranger to Cincinnati, having worked there in the past. Hence, ending up there -- should he be fired by the Broncos -- makes a lot of sense.

But before anything else, any potential changes to the coaching staff on the Bengals' end will depend on what lies ahead for Marvin Lewis. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bengals are giving Lewis the power to dictate the terms of his exit. The 60-year-old head coach and defensive coordinator may potentially retire or opt to continue coaching. With the Bengals collapsing this season, however, the former seems plausible since Lewis will be under a lot of heat, the Big Lead reported.

As mentioned in a previous post, all signs point to Joseph getting the boot. Since taking over from Gary Kubiak in 2016, Joseph has not been able to lead the Broncos in the direction that management wants them to be.

Aware of the brewing talks, Joseph has unsurprisingly avoided discussing the future as he keeps his head on what Denver is up against this season. The Broncos were formally eliminated when they lost to the Cleveland Browns last week.

The Broncos wrap up their season against the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 31, possibly the last time that Joseph may be calling the shots for Denver. With multiple sources believing that Joseph's days with the Broncos are numbered, the predicament should free him to speak with Cincinnati about the role. His eventual departure would signal another minority coach getting axed.

The Bengals lost for the sixth time in seven games, the latest of which was a loss to the Browns. They continue to spiral down and the frustration over at their camp has been growing, Fox Sports reported.

“I have never been a part of a losing program. I am never going to get comfortable with being part of it. At the end of the day, I am going to take it for what it is this year, build, and try to get better and get ready for next year. We still have another week coming up. It is a big one. I promise you, we are not going to be in this for long — and that is a fact,” running back Joe Mixon, the team's only legitimate offensive threat, said.
