Finally, a glimmer of positivity for Nick Cannon following his surprise exit from “America’s Got Talent.” The multi-hyphenate welcomed a third child to the world on Tuesday and it appears the proud papa is in a good place.

Cannon, 36, posed with his son in a photo for Instagram, showing the “Hold On” singer enjoying a little skin-to-skin contact with the newborn. The musician/comedian/actor hinted at his recent struggle in the caption before revealing his son’s name — Golden “Sagon” Cannon. Nick added several hashtags to the post, including “#TrueHappiness and “#Awakened.”

According to The Name Meaning, Golden is a English name. It is a unisex moniker that means “having the color of gold.” The site suggests that Golden was a popular name between 1900-1940 but its popularity has significantly declined since then. Sagon, Nick’s son’s middle name, is Slavic in origin, according to Babble. It’s more often a surname and is said to mean wise one.

News broke that Nick and his ex were expecting a child together last year. Us first reported the story, though it was not confirmed until November 2016. The “Wild N’ Out” host appeared on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” at which time he addressed the rumors. Nick admitted that Bell was pregnant and had no shame about it.

“I’ve got a baby on the way...absolutely...God said be fruitful and multiply,” he said with a laugh. “I’m doing the Lord’s word...everybody get a baby! I’m passing them out.”

Cannon also has 5-year-old twins — a boy and a girl — with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Nick and the “Without You” singer split in 2014. They remain committed to raising their children, Moroccan and Monroe, despite their separation.
