Nick Cannon just slammed and threatened the National Enquirer with a lawsuit on social media. The rapper did these after learning about what the tabloid is planning to publish about him and his private life. The former “America’s Got Talent” host appeared to have been triggered by the information he got that claims his children will be dragged into the mess the tabloid was cooking.

On Tuesday, Cannon took to Instagram to expose what the notorious publication was preparing to publish about him and the outcome of his alleged “nervous breakdown” and “erratic behavior.” The 36-year-old rapper and entrepreneur posted what seems to be a screenshot of an insider information about the story the National Enquirer was making. The intel claims Mareh Carey is petitioning for sole custody over their kids, Moroccan Scott and Monroe, due to Cannon’s inappropriate behavior. The diva was also said to have had it and that she’s willing to battle her ex-lover in courts.

In his caption to the screenshot, Cannon slammed the National Enquirer for dragging his kids into the picture. He also called out the tabloid for its “pure immoral wickedness” in reporting lies. The recording artist, who is also battling lupus, went as far as to threaten the publication with a slander and defamation lawsuit. He then continued his rant by saying that the media cannot break him even if they try to for he was built for this. In the end, he maintained that the prayer and patience of his loved ones make him stronger than the weapons others build against him.

Many of Cannon’s fans quickly left him positive messages and also agreed with what he said about the media. One fan wrote: “They’re mad because they don’t have mind control over you.” Another commented: “The devil and his evil ways can’t break you boss man! Keep doing what you’re doing!”

Meanwhile, Cannon poked fun at how the media was trying to portray him these days in another Instagram post. In a photo he shared with his followers last Monday, Hollywood power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé are seen looking toward Cannon as he walks in front of them. The countenance of Mr. and Mrs. Carter appears to be very serious in the snap, so Cannon jokingly accused them of looking down on him.
