Ever wonder why you never see Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West in anything pink? It’s because she doesn’t like the color, her aunt, Khloé Kardashian, told Refinery29 Thursday.

While her niece Penelope, who is Kourtney’s daughter, loves the girly hue, North prefers darker shades. "They [Penelope and North] go to ballet class together all the time, and P's always really girly, while North is normally in an all black outfit,” Kardashian, 30, said.

Since she doesn’t match her cousin too often, Kardashian suggested North wear more pink, except it didn’t turn out well. “Kim recently put North in an all pink leotard and tutu, and she texted me and was like, 'Look, I put North in pink just for you!' North didn't like it-- North wanted a black tutu,” she said.

The reality star reasoned even though North is barely 2, she already has her own sense of style. “And, I just thought it was hysterical, because I was saying [to Kim], 'Put the girl in some damn pink for a second!' And, she's like, 'I did it for you, and she didn't like it! I know my daughter's personality.' I find that so cute,” Kardashian told Refinery29.

Her nieces and nephews are what she draws inspiration from for the family’s Kardashian Kids clothing line. “We definitely use them as inspiration, and the collection speaks to their personalities,” she said. “They're fashionistas in their own right.”

But Penelope might have a little more pull than North. One of Kardashian’s last Instagram posts showed a child model wearing a pink outfit from the Kardashian Kids line, which is available at Nordstrom and Babies R Us.

For all the latest Kardashian drama, don’t miss “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” on E! every Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT. Sunday’s episode will feature an appearance by North, who rarely appears on the reality series.
