'One Piece' 1044: Luffy's Awakening Reportedly Confirmed In Series' OST; Raw Scans, Release Date [Spoilers]

The most recent chapter of "One Piece" ended with a major cliffhanger that left fans guessing. It looks like fans might witness Luffy's next power-up, reportedly an awakening, in "One Piece" 1044.

An exciting piece of information that might be connected to "One Piece" 1044 was shared online by a content creator and translator newworldartur. According to the content creator, one of the new tracks in the recently released "One Piece Original Soundtrack - WANOKUNI" is titled "Awakened Luffy In Action," adding that "the drums go so hard" in the track.

In the most recent chapter of "One Piece," Zunesha mentioned hearing Joy Boy's sound after eight centuries and called it the "Drums of Liberation."

Another track in the same album is titled "Awakened Luffy's Performance," which gives credence to the possibility that the main character's next power-up is through the awakening of his Devil Fruit. If this is the case, there is a big chance that fans would soon learn more about Luffy's Devil Fruit, including its actual name, since it is believed that the World Government hid its true name.

There are many exciting things to look forward to in the upcoming manga installment. There is a high possibility that fans would see Luffy regain his consciousness and fight Kaido again in "One Piece"1044.

Aside from this, "One Piece" creator Eiichiro Oda might finally provide an explanation about Luffy's Devil Fruit, Shanks' appearance before the Gorousei and Luffy's connection with the legendary character Joy Boy.
