Orlando Bloom obtained a bloody injury when he stepped out in Ibiza without bride-to-be Katy Perry this week.

On Friday, the “Lord of the Rings” actor decided to engage in some adventurous fun when he tackled an ambitious rocky hike in the Mediterranean island on his own. Unfortunately for the 42-year-old actor, he suffered a bloody cut on his ankle during his solo outing.

In the photographs obtained by Daily Mail, Bloom is seen descending from the uphill hike after completing the physical challenge. He appeared to be in good spirits as he was smiling while heading back to the ground. However, his bleeding injury was very visible in the snaps.

From the looks of things, the injury may have happened because the actor was not thoroughly prepared for the tricky path. Even though he was equipped with a black rucksack, he didn’t wear the appropriate footwear for the activity since he was seen donning a pair of electric blue plimsolls instead of hiking boots.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star didn’t seem to mind his wound, however. He was smiling from ear to ear after his trek and while he was taking photos of the beautiful scenery he was passing by using his smartphone.

It wasn’t clear why the “Swish Swish” hitmaker wasn’t able to join her soon-to-be husband for the hike. Nevertheless, the two Hollywood stars, who are enjoying their vacation together, did reunite that day for some cliff-diving action.

Katy was spotted by Daily Mail jumping off a cliff while wearing a black and white polka dot one-piece bikini. Orlando was seen standing on the cliff when the 34-year-old singer launched herself into the inviting waters below.

For their holiday, the couple was joined by Roman Abramovich’s ex Dasha Zhukova and CNN International “CNN Style” host Derek Blasberg. They reportedly spent some time riding billionaire music mogul David Geffen’s $300 million mega yacht.

Bloom and Perry got engaged in February, with the singer-songwriter flaunting her huge sparkler on social media on Valentine’s Day. They are expected to tie the knot by the end of the year. This would be the second marriage for both Orlando and Katy, who were formerly married to Miranda Kerr and Russell Brand, respectively.
