Celebrities are starting to make their way across the Oscars 2012 red carpet and The Associated Press' live stream is now available. (See it here.)

Formally known as the 84th annual Academy Awards, the 2012 Oscars are being broadcast live from Los Angeles in approximately two hours. It will be hosted by actor and comedian Billy Crystal and broadcast live on ABC. This will be Crystal's ninth time hosting the awards show.

There are nine nominees competing for Best Picture: The Artist, The Descendants, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Help, Hugo, Midnight In Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life and War Horse.

Actors Demián Bichir, George Clooney, Jean Dujardin, Gary Oldman and Brad Pittare are nominated for Actor in a Leading Role while actresses Glenn Close, Viola Davis, Rooney Mara, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams will compete for Actress in a Leading Role.

The Artist, The Descendants, Hugo, Midnight in Paris and The Tree of Life will go head-to-head for directing.

Sandra Bullock, Gwyneth Paltrow, Morgan Freeman, Halle Berry, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa McCarthy, Wendy McLendon-Covey, Maya Rudolph, Ben Stiller and Emma Stone are some of the presenters for tonight's ceremony.

While ABC won't be live streaming the Oscars, the ceremony can also be watched on CTV. Other Web sites such as Livestream.com/AcademyAwards, Livestream.com/theoscars, UStream TV and Justin TV may also provided content but chances are it is not legal.
