"Avengers: Endgame" star Chris Evans proved once again that he is also Captain America in real life when he came to Regina King's rescue at the 2019 Oscars.

On Sunday, King, 48, won best supporting actress for her role in "If Beale Street Could Talk." When King made her way to the stage, however, the actress' heels got tangled in her dress, and she had to pause and try to regain her footing. Fortunately, the "Captain America" star, 37, who was sitting in the front row next to King's mother Gloria, immediately extended his arm and graciously helped her up the stairs.

Evans and King's sweet moment that was captured on camera seemed to have won the hearts of people across the internet. Numerous viewers and people following the awards show on social media took to Twitter to express their reactions to Evans' chivalrous gesture.

“Regina King won, for James Baldwin’s work, wearing that gorgeous dress, AND has Chris Evans offer to help her up the stairs. She is truly winning tonight. #Oscars2019,″ one Twitter user wrote.

“Best Chris strikes again. #Oscars,” another fan tweeted, in reference to the fan-based friendly debate over whether Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine, Chris Pratt or Evans is the “best” Chris.

“Chris Evans escorting the queen, Regina King, up the stairs was exactly what we needed to start the #Oscars !” another social media user said.
