'Outlander' Season 1 Spoilers: Watch Claire Meet The Redcoats In A Sneak Peek Video From Episode 6, 'The Garrison Commander'

“Outlander” Season 1, episode 6, airs on Saturday, and Claire might finally escape from Dougal. The episode, titled “The Garrison Commander,” will pick up right where episode 5 left off, with the Redcoats surrounding Dougal and Claire. In a sneak peek, fans see that the Redcoats are not immediately violent, though Dougal is an enemy. Instead they take Claire and Dougal back to their headquarters.

The clip shows the men becoming rather excited by the sight of a woman. They’ve clearly been away from home — and women — for a long time. They don’t even let the announcer finish Dougal’s name before welcoming Claire. They all stand to greet her as she meets Brig. Gen. Lord Oliver Thomas.

“It has been far too long since I last gazed upon a lovely English rose,” Oliver says as he kisses Claire’s hand.

Oliver has been told that she has a story to tell the men. Presumably, Claire will tell them why she, an Englishwoman, is traveling with Scotsmen collecting taxes. Claire thanked Oliver for being willing to listen to her story.

“I love a good story,” Oliver said. “I’ve not heard a good one since I landed upon this blasted turf.”

Of course, Claire might not find all of the men so happy to see her. She’ll run into Capt. Black Jack Randall while she is with the English, and they’ll have another disturbing encounter.
