Season 2 of The CW’s summer fantasy series, “The Outpost,” premieres on Thursday, which means fans will finally get answers to all the questions raised during the Season 1 finale last year.

To recap, Talon (Jessica Green), Janzo (Anand Desai-Barochia) and Garret (Jake Stormoen) learned that the plagueling epidemic wasn’t happening on its own; it was actually happening in huge part because of the colipsum in so many people’s systems.

Season 1, episode 10 of the CW show also saw Talon walking in on Garret and Gwynn (Imogen Waterhouse) together, half-naked, and she left looking angry and jealous. She turned to Janzo in her time of anger and confusion, but later told him, after he’d been injured by Dred (Philip Brodie), that she loves him like a brother, adequately crushing his heart. Still, he cares for her and will take any relationship with her he can have.

In the end, Dred escaped, and viewers learned that Dragman is actually the little girl he always has around him. Although he was nowhere to be found, Talon was able to defeat his army and take back control of the Outpost. With Dred still out there somewhere, and the Prime Order still up and running, a major war is on its way.

“Talon and the Dragman delve deeper into the perils of summoning more demons, while Gwynn struggles to recruit loyal allies,” the synopsis reveals of what’s to come in the new episodes. “The trinity of Prime Order overlords known as ‘The Three’ reveal their mysterious powers as they send spies, assassins, armies and even a devastating secret weapon to crush the growing rebellion at the Outpost. Talon questions whether she is ‘The One’ of the Prophecy as she summons more Lu-Qiri and unwittingly lets other creatures through the portal.”

“The Outpost” Season 2 synopsis continues: “When Garret (Jake Stormoen) doesn’t return from hunting Dred, a charming rogue Baron quickly pursues Gwynn romantically in exchange for his loyalty, and the use of his army. As Talon uncovers the truth about her past and the legacy of her people, she must decide who to trust, and separate her real friends from her enemies before the Prime Order attacks.”

In the Season 2 premiere (titled "We Only Kill to Survive”), specifically, Talon inadvertently summons a new threat, one that reminds her of her childhood, according to the episode 1 synopsis. Elsewhere, Garret is out hunting for Dred, and Queen Gwynn gets ready for the impending war. As if all of that isn’t enough, a messenger brings some devastating news.
