Need a new show to fill your summer nights? The CW has got you covered with the premiere of “The Outpost” Tuesday night.

The fantasy series centers on Talon (Jessica Green), the only survivor of the “Blackbloods” race. It’s been years since her village was slaughtered, and now, she’s out for revenge. Ready to find the mercenaries who killed them, Talon heads to a lawless fortress to complete her personal mission. During her journey for justice, she meets both friends and enemies. She also discovers that she happens to possess a supernatural power that she must learn to harness in order to save both herself and those around her from an evil dictator.

The network is giving fans a double dose of sci-fi on Tuesdays with “The 100,” at its new time of 8 p.m. EDT, and “The Outpost” airing immediately after. Green, star of the latter, thinks this makes for a perfect lineup because she knows fans of the post-apocalyptic show are going to love her series.

“There is action, drama, a bit of comedy and romance,” she told International Business Times in an email interview.

The two shows even had similar names for races, with The CW’s Eliza Taylor-led series, which is now in Season 5, featuring Nightbloods, while Green’s follows her Blackbloods character.

Plus, Green plays a “strong female, [who’s] driven and independent,” she told IBT, much like many of the women in “The 100.” The actress loved getting to take on this big action role and “trained hard with MMA for the last year” to take on the stunts. She learned all of the fight scenes in the three weeks prior to filming and put her all into it in order to perform most of the stunt work herself.

Though “The 100” fans will love the show, she knows “it will appeal to everyone,” as well. Since “The Outpost” has a little bit of everything and touches on all genres, the Australian actress believes that no matter what shows people normally watch, they’ll enjoy this one, too.

It kicks off Tuesday night, but once viewers see the Season 1 premiere, Green thinks they’ll be begging for more. “Each week the episodes [leave] you on the edge of your seat wanting to see more,” she said.

The first episode will find Talon journeying “to a desperate Outpost on the edge of the realm where she finally confronts one of the men who killed her family,” the synopsis reveals. Along with Green, the cast also includes Jake Stormoen (Garret), Anand Desai-Barochia (Janzo), Imogen Waterhouse (Gwynn), Charan Prabhakar (Danno), Lindsey Stirling (Pock), Robyn Malcolm, Andrew Howard and Philip Brodie (Everit Dred).

Catch all the action when “The Outpost” premieres Tuesday on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
