Netflix announced that Pamela Anderson is all set to share a peek into her personal life and professional journey in an upcoming documentary.

"The film, which has been in the making for several years, will feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey," Netflix tweeted Wednesday.

Alongside the note, the streaming giant also shared two photos. In the first photo, fans can see a black and white headshot of the 54-year-old actress.

The second photo had a note that reads, "My life, a thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost, nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor -- alive to tell her real story." The note ends with an imprint of a kiss in red lipstick.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions.

One of the users noted that there has already been a series titled "Pam & Tommy" released last month, based on Anderson and Tommy Lee's honeymoon sex tape that went viral. However, another user responded to that by saying Anderson has the right tell her story her own way.

"Oh so I can go and tell your life to people without your consent, distorting your life and cashing on your traumas, and you can't complain about it, because if you do, it strips you from the ability to set the record straight," a fan replied.

"Good for her. Telling her own story HER way," another fan commented. "This woman has been exploited in so many ways over the years. She deserves to speak on her own life on her own terms."

Anderson's 24-year-old son, Dylan Lee also took to the comments section to write, "The Real Story."

On the personal front, Anderson was married to Lee from 1995 to 1998. She went on to marry singer Kid Rock in 2006 and it lasted for about a year. Anderson was also married to poker player Rick Salomon from 2007 to 2008 and they remarried in 2014. However, the marriage ended for good in 2015.

Anderson married her bodyguard named Dan Hayhurst and last month they announced the split.

On the work front, the actress will be next seen in the horror movie, "18 & Over," which is directed by Jimmy Giannopoulos. The movie is currently under post-production and will be released later this year.
