Paris Hilton has once again opened up about her troubled past and revealed that she was “physically and emotionally” abused by five of her ex-boyfriends.

In an interview with People, the 39-year-old Hollywood personality shared some specific details about her past relationships and noted that she has been in multiple abusive relations in her life. The celebrity also shared that she was strangled and grabbed aggressively in some of her past relationships.

Hilton said she hopes no one would get into a toxic relationship like she did.

“I went through multiple abusive relationships. I was strangled, I was hit, I was grabbed aggressively. I put up with things no one should,” Hilton told the publication.

The “House Of Wax” star also discussed the painful physical abuse she endured while attending the Provo Canyon boarding school in Utah. She believes that her time at the boarding school was the cause of her having unhealthy relationships later in life.

She said that she became so used to the abuse that it seemed normal to her. The socialite also noted that all her exes started with being the “nice guy” but showed their true colors as the relationship moved forward.

“I had become so used to [abusive behavior] at Provo, that it made me feel like it was normal. They all seemed like such nice guys and then the true colors would show. They'd get jealous, or defensive or try to control me. And there would come a point where they would become physically, verbally, and emotionally abusive. I didn't really understand what love or relationships were,” People quoted Hilton, as saying.

The actress also said that she would not have made a “sex tape” if her encounters at Provo were better.

The revelations come a few weeks after the media personality shared about her childhood trauma and how it affected her life growing up in the first trailer of her documentary “This Is Paris.”

“I feel like the whole world thinks they know me.No one really knows who I am. I don't even know who I am sometimes. I didn't use to be that way. I'm so used to like, playing a character, that it's hard for me to be normal,” she said in the trailer.

“This is Paris” will be streaming live on YouTube on Sept. 14.
