Leading book publisher, Penguin Books India has launched a mobile application that offers information of all books by the penguin Books India.

The new mobile app supports iPhone and Nokia Symbian devices. With the new application, users can read reviews, browse author's name, latest books, download books available at Penguin Book India.

The new mobile application can connect the user with other book lovers in the Stay Connected' section which redirects to the Penguin India, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages.

In the Stay Connect section, users can suggest, recommend, watch video, discuss books in the Penguin India on Facebook, You Tube and Twitter pages.

The Penguin Mobile App offers like Just Published, Best Sellers and Coming Soon. Interestingly, the What's Making News section provides ongoing publishing gossips, discussion and events.

The new Penguin Mobile App can be download free from Apple's iTunes, App Store and Nokia's Ovi Store.

Except the Stay Connected section which redirects to the Penguin India Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages, there is no social network integration to share book titles with friends.

In stead of catalogue style, Penguin should provide information on book's page numbers, ISBN, binding type and language.

No options for alerts by the users as well as by the Penguin Books India when a book is available in the bookshelf.

It does not give links to e-book stores such as Amazon's Kindle or Apple's iBook.

In stead of slider control page navigation style, the excerpts can be shown in a simple and noraml page turn mechanism.
