A pet cat fought with cobras and saved its owners in three separate incidents in Mojokerto, Indonesia, last week.

According to local reports, the first cobra entered the yard last Tuesday and was killed by the feline. Another reptile that entered the farm the following day was also attacked and killed by the family cat. The third cobra, however, managed to escape and slip under the porch’s foundation.

Speaking to local media Monday, Widarti, the owner of the cat, named Si Putih, said she adopted the feline six months ago for her children.

“Initially, I kept the cat because the kids liked it. Thank God, there are benefits. Snakes cannot enter the house because there is the cat,” Widarti said, adding that her husband filmed the last attack when the snake managed to escape.

She added that the snakes were living in a hole near their home and that she has taken several steps to ensure that they do not enter the house.

"I clean all parts of the house. I use camphor as a fragrance so that the snakes do not enter the house. At night, I close the hole under the main door with a cloth so that the snakes do not enter," she said.
