Players In ‘Pokemon Sword & Shield’ Isle Of Armor DLC To Receive Ash’s Iconic Headpiece

Players of “Pokemon Sword and Shield” will be able to don the hat of the ever-youthful Ash Ketchum in the upcoming Isle of Armor DLC. The hat will be available through the customization option in the game, where players create or dress up their characters.

The longest-running video game franchise, according to Game Rant, will be receiving the gear as part of celebrations for the anime’s latest movie, “Pokemon the Movie: Coco.” Players will get the hat once they buy the Isle of Armor DLC for the “Sword and Shield” game, which also adds a lot of content into the base game as an expansion.

Players will have to get the hat from an attendant in the Taxi Station, but will have to include the new mythical Pokemon Zarude in their party. Players without the DLC will still be able to receive the hat when they watch the movie the same as other movie-exclusive bonuses in the Pokemon franchise. As for the process to do that, no details have been made public yet.

The hat won’t be the only content making its way to the Isle of Armor. There will also be other Pokemon making their way to the island, where a new rival character and former Galar Pokemon League Champion / Leon’s old mentor Mustard is waiting, Gamespot reported.

The new expansion will bring with it Pokemon that had been missing from the base “Sword and Shield” game. Favorites like Psyduck, Chansey, Exeggcute, Staryu and their evolutions will make their way as returning content. There are also new Pokemon, such as the Galarian Slowpoke, the new Pokemon, Kubfu, and the Gigantamax versions of Venusaru, Blastoise, Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon.

Players were able to get an Ash cap-wearing Pikachu through the use of Pokemon Home, but let’s face it – it looks better on a trainer, particularly one that travels the Galar region. Aside from some early uproar over how the Galar Pokedex has been downsized, “Pokemon Sword and Shield” has been received well by most fans.

How the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs will fare remains to be seen.
