Sony’s lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers for May features major franchises and indie gems.

May’s PlayStation 4 offerings are headlined by Tales From The Borderlands. Originally released in late 2014, Tales From The Borderlands is a five-part episodic series from developer Telltale Games that’s based within the first-person shooter series Borderlands’ universe. In the game, which is set after the events of Borderlands 2, you play as the characters Rhys and Fiona.

As with past Telltale games like The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series, your in-game storyline is affected by the choices you make with characters throughout each episode. Check out a trailer for the game here:

Tales From The Borderlands is paired with the 2016 title Abzu. You play as a female diver and explore a variety of deeply detailed and lush ocean environments in a wide-ranging adventure. Much of the creative team behind Abzu also came from the 2012 indie title Journey. Check out a trailer for Abzu below:

For PlayStation 3 and Vita subscribers, May’s roster is filled out with several deeper catalog cuts. PlayStation 3 users will get the 2013 hack-and-slash title Blood Knights, along with the 2012 historical business sim Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants. PlayStation Vita owners will get the Cross Buy-capable titles Laser Disco Defenders and Type: Rider.
