“Power” Season 4 may see James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) spending some time in jail.

“Power” executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who also plays Kanan on the hit Starz series, took to Instagram earlier this week to share a teaser about the upcoming season. He posted a photo of Ghost behind bars, along with the hashtag “#FreeGhost.”

In the “Power” Season 3 finale, Ghost and Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) finally succeeded in taking down Milan (Callan Mulvey). Ghost was also working on getting back into the Bassetts’ good graces. However, just as things seemed to be finally working out for St. Patrick, Angela (Lela Loren) burst into Truth and arrested him for the murder of Greg Knox (Andy Bean).

Ghost wasn’t the one who shot Greg, so it will only be a matter of time before Angela finds out that it was Sandoval (David Fumero) who killed her ex-lover. However, judging by Jackson’s teaser, Ghost will still spend some time in jail.

“Power” executive producer Courtney Kemp previously talked about the Season 3 finale and the events that led up to Ghost’s arrest. “[Ghost] thought Angela loved him so much that he could get away with anything, and while he didn’t actually kill Greg, he didn’t protect himself from looking like he would. And, he certainly said some shit that he shouldn’t have said to her, including, when they were in the diner, ‘I had to protect you from Greg,’” she told Deadline in September.

“I mean, it’s a hard thing to break up with someone who knows all your secrets. Angela knows a lot about Ghost and even though he did it for a good reason, he broke her heart and he can’t manage that broken heart. There’s not much you can do about that,” she continued.

She also revealed that Bean figured out that his character was going to be killed off way before they informed him about Greg’s fate in the series. “He’s not a dumb person, he read the writing on the wall. He said early on, he said if Greg continues down this path, he’s going to have to die because he knows everything,” she said of Bean.

Kemp added that it had been “hard” to kill off Bean’s character because she wanted to keep working with the actor. “I love Andy Bean very much. I feel very close to him as a man and as a human being and as an actor. I just think there’s really not better you can do. Andy can do anything, and it was hard to let him go. But at the same time if you’ve been watching the show, Greg kind of had to go. The character had done all he could do,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Naturi Naughton, who plays Tasha St. Patrick, also previously shared a teaser photo for “Power” Season 4. Last month, she posted an Instagram photo of her and Sikora from the Season 4 set of the Starz series, along with the caption: “#TashaAndTommy back at it again! #PowerTV #Season4 #420text #Blazzzin #InTheMustang #Manhattan.” Check out her post below!

“Power” Season 4 is expected to premiere on Starz in the summer of 2017.
