LinkedIn Corp. (LNKD) stock rallied 9.02 percent to $116.49 in pre-market trading. The company swung to the third quarter net income of $2.30 million or $0.02 per share compared to the net loss of $1.60 million or $0.02 per share in the same period last year. Adjusted net profit was $25.14 million or $0.22 per share, up from $6.63 million or $0.06 per share last year and also topped Reuters’ estimate of $0.11 per share. LinkedIn currently expects the fiscal 2012 revenue to be in a range of $939 to $944 million, up from the prior estimate of $915 to $925 million and above analysts’ estimate of $933.20 million.

Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) stock climbed 7.25 percent to $50.00 in pre-market trading. Its fourth quarter net profit rose to $359.0 million or $0.46 per share from $358.5 million or $0.47 per share in the same period last year. The company raised its fiscal 2013 earnings forecast to a range of $2.06 to $2.15 per share from its prior estimation of $2.04 to $2.14 per share and above the analysts’ estimate of $2.13 per share.

Pan American Silver Corp. (PAAS) stock gained 1.68 percent to $23.00 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $13.49, a 52-week high of $30.79 and $3.44 billion in market capitalization.

Alcatel Lucent SA (ALU) stock tumbled 10.81 percent to $0.99 in pre-market trading. The company swung to the third quarter net loss of 146 million euros ($188 million) compared to the net profit of 194 million euros in the same period last year. In dollar terms, net loss was $0.08 per share compared to a net profit of $0.10 per share in the same quarter last year. Adjusted net loss was $0.06 per share compared to net income of $0.12 per share last year and also fell short of Reuters estimate of a loss of $0.01 per share.

GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK) stock plunged 2.43 percent to $43.77 in pre-market trading. The company stock was reiterated with a “buy” rating at Societe Generale Friday.
