Prince Charles reunited with his wife, Camilla, in Singapore on Monday, and the couple shared a rare public kiss.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be traveling in and around Southeast Asia and India for the next 11 days. According to People, Prince Charles and Camilla are rarely seen displaying their affection towards each other. In fact, this is only the third time that they have been spotted kissing publicly.

Their first sighting took place in 2001 during the Somerset House reception, and then again in 2005 at a polo match. Prince Charles and Camilla are in Southeast Asia to foster UK’s partnership with Commonwealth Nations of Southeast Asia and India ahead of next year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

Prince Charles’ deputy private secretary for foreign and Commonwealth affairs, Scott Furssedonn-Wood, recently released a statement explaining his visits. “The visits will highly key themes including celebrating community, cultural diversity and promoting business innovation,” he said.

Meanwhile, the couple will also be celebrating the upcoming Commonwealth Games in April. Prince Charles is expected to represent Queen Elizabeth II when he opens the event in Australia. Camilla is also part of the gathering.

Prince Charles and Camilla met in the 1970s during a polo match and were immediately attracted to one another. They dated each other until 1971 before Prince Charles joined the Royal Navy. In 1973, Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles, a British Army officer who previously dated Prince Charles’ sister, Princess Anne.

In 1977, Prince Charles met the late Princess Diana, at the time when he was dating her older sister, Lady Sarah. He ended his relationship with her and started courting Princess Diana in 1980. After tying the knot in 1981, Prince Charles and Princess Diana were blessed with two children.

Years later, the couple’s relationship went down the drain when it was revealed that Prince Charles started communicating and flirting with Camilla again. Following Princess Diana’s death in 1997, Prince Charles introduced Camilla to Prince William and Prince Harry. They tied the knot on Apr. 9, 2005 and have been together since then.
