Prince Charles is reportedly not jealous of his sons Prince William and Prince Harry.

There were rumors that the Prince of Wales was jealous of his two sons because they were more popular. Some claim that Prince Charles hated the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex’s public “emoting” and popularity.

The father and sons were reportedly at odds over the heir apparent’s belief that Prince William and Kate Middleton should be doing more. He also reportedly found it irritating that Prince William and Prince Harry referred to their staff by their names.

However, according to Victoria Arbiter, those claims were not true. In fact, during her father Dickie Arbiter’s tenure with the royals, the members of the Firm all referred to him by his first name. However, she didn’t deny the fact that Prince Charles has lived his life in the shadows of the other royals including his two sons.

“Sadly for Prince Charles, no matter his unparalleled work ethic and commitment to duty, he has spent much of his adult life in the shadow of someone else – his mother, Diana, the Cambridges and now Harry and Meghan,” Arbiter wrote for Nine.com.au.

“It’s certainly possible that he’s had moments in which he’s questioned his relevance and public standing, but jealous of his sons? I think not.”

Prince Charles is the longest serving heir. In a past interview, he openly shared his feelings of passing down the Duchy of Cornwall estate to his eldest son and even revealed that he was touched by Prince William’s effort.

“Confronting your own mortality is a very good thing for you, if I may say so, it’s quite good for the soul. I couldn’t believe it. I was deeply touched and moved by what he [William] said. It practically reduced me to tears, it did really because I suddenly thought... well just hearing that from him, has made the last 50 years worthwhile,” Prince Charles said.

The Duke of Cambridge admitted that his knowledge about farming is incomparable to Prince Charles. However, the second in line to the throne promised the farmers that he would not rock the boat and would continue what his father started.
