Prince Harry gave his new nephew, Prince Louis, a grand present for his christening.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held their youngest child's christening at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace in London. For the said event, Prince Harry purchased an expensive gift for Prince Louis.

According to Francesca Specter, a journalist for Daily Express, the Duke of Sussex bought a $10,607 book for the infant. It was the first edition copy of AA Milne's "Winnie-The-Pooh."

Prince Harry's present to the infant was inspired by his mom, Princess Diana. During his childhood years, the duke reportedly loved to hear bedtime stories.

"One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was being read a bedtime story by his mother," an insider told The Sun. "[Diana] loved all the old classics and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte and George to enjoy as they get older."

"He originally wanted to get Lewis Carroll's 'Through The Looking Glass', which was on sale for £24,000, but decided 'Winnie-The-Pooh' would be more suitable for a first tome," the insider added. "Robinson Crusoe was William’s favourite book, but Harry loved all things A.A. Milne."

The report noted that Prince Harry missed Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015. The Duke of Sussex had already committed to joining conservation projects in Southern Africa at that time, so he missed the event. Prince Harry felt bad for not being able to make it and even said that he was "a bad uncle" for not being there.

"What a bad uncle I am! I should really be there. But today I am here, this is where I want to be," Prince Harry said (via Hello!).

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are reportedly keen to start their own family soon. The Duchess of Sussex's dad, Thomas Markle Sr., revealed in his interview with "Good Morning Britain" that his daughter "has wanted children for a long time."

"There's got to be a child in them," Thomas said, adding that "it will happen soon."

Princess Diana's former royal butler, Paul Burrell, said the same thing about Prince Harry. "I believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will start a family as soon as possible!" Burrell said. "Harry also wants a large family and wants children as quickly as possible."
