Prince Harry was caught in a pretty awkward situation during his recent trip with Meghan Markle.

According to royal correspondent Katie Nicholl, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Amsterdam when Prince Harry surprisingly encountered his ex Jenna Coleman. The two were romantically linked in 2015, a year before the duke met Markle.

Prince Harry and Markle were in the same room for breakfast with Coleman and her boyfriend, Tom Hughes. According to an eyewitness, Prince Harry blushed when he spotted the actress but totally ignored her.

"Harry had to walk straight past Jenna to get to his and Meghan's table," the eyewitness told Nicholl. "It was pretty awkward and some of the other guests were commenting on it. Jenna looked down while Harry looked straight ahead, while Meghan didn't seem to notice. She sat through breakfast with a smile on her face, but Harry looked a bit uncomfortable. He'd been super friendly saying hi to everyone, but he didn't even acknowledge Jenna."

According to Coleman's friend, she was pursued by Hughes around the same time she met Prince Harry at an Audi polo match. However, she chose the actor over the royal.

"She had texts and date requests coming in from both of them. She ended up going for Tom over Harry," the actress' friend said. "I guess she knew she had more in common with a fellow actor. Tom was really into Jenna and they hit it off."

Prior to marrying Markle, Prince Harry dated a number of women. However, his most popular exes were Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy. Both were invited to his and Markle's royal wedding back in May.

Prince Harry dated Davy for the longest time. In fact, both were reluctant to let go of their romance and tried to rekindle their relationship by traveling to Africa in 2015, but there was no more spark.

"It was such a love affair, it really was," Nicholl told InStyle. "Right up until 2015 they were trying to give it another chance. I was quite struck by that and I think everyone that's been in love, you know, you never forget your first love, and in that respect, I think Prince Harry was no different."
