Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke royal protocol when they agreed to take a selfie with some fans.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still on their 16-day tour of Australia, Tonga, Fiji and New Zealand. During their trip, the couple has already broken a number of protocols, and they recently violated another one when they agreed to take a selfie with two young fans during their New Zealand trip.

According to Christine Younan, a journalist for Daily Star, Prince Harry and Markle were walking through the crowds when they were stopped by a 9-year-old girl's mom, Jan Richardson, for a photo.

"I just asked 'can I get a photo, can I get a photo? and Harry said, 'Yeah, sure!'" she recalled.

According to the publication, the members of the royal family are prohibited from doing selfies because the Queen finds it "disconcerting." Her Majesty doesn't want anyone of them to participate in it. Former US ambassador Matthew Barzun told Tatler that the Queen finds it strange.

This isn't the first rule that the couple has bent during their Commonwealth tour. Prince Harry shocked the fans when he hugged one fan in the crowd carrying a sign that read "Been here since 4am. Loved you since I was eight."

"He is someone I have looked up to for many many years," the girl named India Brown said while sobbing after her encounter with the Duke of Sussex. "He is someone I have looked up to for many many years. He reciprocated the hug as well, it wasn’t just a little…it was awesome"

"He reciprocated the hug as well, it wasn’t just a little…it was awesome," she added.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge snubbed two kids who were holding a paper that read "Free Hugs" when they were in Tonga. The couple saw the signage and only smiled. They didn't stop to embrace the kids. Later one, of the children were photographed lying down on the floor after the rejection.

In related news, the pregnant royal flashed her thighs in an affordable maternity dress. Markle opted for a ASOS' "Wiggle Dress" during their flight to New Zealand. The revealing black knee-length dress exposed her legs when she walked down from the airplane.
