Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not welcome to return to the United Kingdom after their bombshell exit, a new poll suggests.

Last week, Express asked its readers if they think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be allowed to return to the UK to be with the royal family amid the coronavirus crisis. Over 6,000 readers responded to the survey and over 5,000 respondents or 88 percent said no.

Only 11 percent of the respondents said yes to Prince Harry and Markle is allowed to return to the United Kingdom to be with the royal family. One percent of the respondents said that they don’t know if the royal couple should be allowed to return.

The publication came up with the poll amid reports that Archie’s parents could be forced to return since Prince Harry may become a placeholder for Queen Elizabeth. The monarch and other senior members of the royal family are on self-quarantine at Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, and Clarence House.

As such, only Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex are able to perform their royal duties at the moment. Prince Harry is the adult that’s next in line to Prince William in the order of succession but he already quit the royal family with his wife in January.

Royal fans also expressed their dislike for Prince Harry and Markle to return to the UK.

“No! Absolutely not. They chose to leave and the Royal Family and the country can manage without them,” one royal fan said.

“As far as I’m concerned, they are no longer part of the UK Monarchy,” another person said.

“No, they are neither wanted nor needed,” one royal fan commented.

Meanwhile, “Call Me Diana” author Nigel Hawthorne said that Prince William will most likely step up amid the coronavirus crisis. After all, he’s next in line to Prince Charles, who is a senior royal and who is vulnerable to coronavirus.
