Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just shared a beautiful Dalai Lama quote on their official Instagram account.

“I believe that at every level of society – familial, tribal, national and international – the key to a happier and more successful world is the growth of compassion,” the quote read.

According to Daily Mail, the choice of a quote by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wasn’t surprising at all. Since they are talking about compassion, the royal couple is also encouraging everyone to be more compassionate towards other people.

Prince Harry and Markle have been the victims of a slew of criticism for the past couple of weeks. They were criticized for hiding their son, Archie, from the public. They were also slammed for keeping Archie’s christening private, and they were also criticized for not revealing the identities of their son’s godparents.

And just a few weeks ago, the royal couple was once again criticized for not taking a commercial flight to Nice and Ibiza during their summer vacation. Prince Harry and Markle have been advocating against climate change and taking a private jet to their destinations caused even more damage to the environment.

After being branded as hypocrites, Prince Harry released a statement to the public. He said that he made a mistake but he also stood by his desire to keep his son and wife safe during their trip.

However, the Duke of Sussex’s statement still didn’t sit well with critics. Prince Harry and Markle were compared to Prince William and Middleton, who traveled to Scotland via a commercial flight.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis on the said flight. And it seems that taking a commercial flight could’ve been riskier for the Cambridges because they are heirs to the throne.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, will never become King. And his wife will never become Queen.
