Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s joint monogram has been released, and it is a tribute to the late Princess Diana.

The royal couple’s regal cipher features both of their initials that are intertwined underneath a coronet. The monogram, which will be included on all official paperwork that will be released by Kensington Palace on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is in color blue.

Rebecca Perring, a journalist for Express, said that the choice of color is a nod to the Princess of Wales. The couple’s monogram is also similar to the one that Markle released in May that also featured her initial with a coronet.

A royal aide told Perring that Prince Harry’s cipher was said to be deliberately chosen to resemble Princess Diana’s in motif and also in terms of color.

“It’s a very touching way for him to pay tribute to his late mother,” the royal aide said.

Each member of the royal family has their own monogram, and Prince Harry and Markle’s joint symbol is also in the same color as Prince Harry’s individual monogram. The crown on top of the royal couple’s initials appears to be the one approved by a Royal Warrant of 1917 for the children of the heir apparent.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle are currently on a break from their royal duties just like the other members of the royal family. This summer, the Duke of Sussex is expected to stay in London while Markle will fly back to the United States to be with her family and friends.

Multiple sources reported that Prince Harry won’t accompany his wife on her trip to the country because she won’t stay in the U.S. for long. Next year, Prince Harry and Markle will fly to the country together for their official tour of New York, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and several other places.
