Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still being criticized for hiding their son, Archie, from the public. But they were also praised for finally showing him off to the world while they were in South Africa.

While speaking with Express, royal author Angela Levin said that it was very wrong for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to hid their son away starting off with his birth and christening. Levin added that it was also wrong for the royal couple to not reveal the names of their son’s godparents.

“You think ‘what have they got to hide?’ Taxpayers pay their money so the royals can live a life of tremendous luxury, it’s not easy. It is very difficult being a royal and their privacy is taken away from them. But it is pros and cons, isn’t it? They live in castles,” she said.

Levin also said that all of the benefits that Prince Harry and Markle are receiving as members of the royal family come with a price.

“They can get access to anybody they want to in any area that interests them, whether it is the army, whether it is fashion, whether it is cookery books, landmines. You have access to the top person who will enable you to fulfill what you would like to do. That comes at a prize (sic),” she said.

But Levin also praised the royal couple for bringing Archie with them to South Africa. She said that it was such a pleasant sight to see everyone cooing over the baby, which was very positive. The expert said that South Africa also became a platform for Prince Harry to show more of South Africa to Markle.

The continent holds a special place in Prince Harry’s life because this is where he stayed shortly after the death of Princess Diana. Since then, he has been in and out of the country. And shortly after he met Markle, he asked her to accompany him to South Africa.
