Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, skipped Archie christening’s on July 6. It has now been revealed that he was actually snubbed by Prince Harry.

Emily Andrews and Graeme Culliford, journalists for The Sun, revealed that Charles was also at the Winchester Festival in Hampshire to promote his book, “To Catch A King: Charles II’s Great Escape.” His appearance coincided with the christening of Archie earlier this month.

But other than his previous engagement, Prince Harry reportedly didn’t invite his uncle to his son’s christening because they have been distant for a long time. The silent feud between the two men started shortly after Princess Diana split from Prince Charles.

When the Princess of Wales was still alive, she wanted to live at their family’s Althorp estate in Northants. However, Charles didn’t allow her to do so because he feared police and press interference.

“I am sorry but I have decided that the Garden House is not a possible move. There are many reasons, most of which center on the inevitable police and press interference that will follow,” Charles wrote to his sister.

But years after the incident, Charles gave another speech at Princess Diana’s funeral where he vowed to guide and take good care of his sister’s sons. Charles was invited at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, and he attended the event with his third wife, Karen Gordon.

However, eagle-eyed royal watchers revealed that Charles sat at the back of St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018. After Princess Diana’s death, Prince Harry maintained a close relationship with his aunts, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and Lady Jane Fellowes, that’s why they were given special roles at his wedding.

Princess Diana’s two older sisters were also featured in Archie’s official christening photo. And their names were also reflected in Archie’s birth announcement.

According to the source, Princess Diana’s brother is paying the price for his selfishness that’s why he is being snubbed by his nephews every now and then.
