Prince Harry wants to live like his cousin.

A number of royal experts said that Prince Harry struggled with his royal life. In fact, there was a time when he was called a “reluctant royal.” According to Anna Kretschmer of Express, this problem seems to continue now that he is married to Meghan Markle and a dad to Archie.

In the “Pod Save the Queen” podcast, Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers claimed that Prince Harry wanted to live like his cousin, Zara Tindall. Zara was raised without a royal title and tends to live a more normal life. In fact, she has her own career and is an accomplished and successful equestrian.

“Certainly, Harry would like to be more like Zara and Mike [Tindall], and have that freedom,” Myers said.

“But unfortunately he is related to the heir, and he is going to be the son of the future King. The problem is, you can’t have one foot in and one foot out, and this is the issue that’s being debated at the moment.”

In the 2018 documentary “Meghan Markle: American Princess,” Penny Junor recalled how Prince Harry was when he was younger. According to the royal biographer, he was a "reluctant royal."

She was convinced that at one point, Prince Harry wanted to turn his back from the royal life and responsibilities he had. The duke reportedly wanted to live somewhere quietly.

However, Queen Elizabeth II convinced Prince Harry to not abandon his royal life and to continue his royal obligations. The Duke of Sussex was involved in a number of scandals and the Queen forgave him.

In related news, Prince Harry made another fashion faux pas when he attended “The Lion King” premiere. Prince Harry arrived at the event with his wife, Markle. However, many were not happy with his fashion choices because his bow tie looked “ready-made” and his white shirt made him looked “more informal.”

Prince Harry was also criticized for looking “terrible” and a “mess” at his son’s baptism. In the official photos, eagle-eyed fans noticed his mismatched shoes and socks. They also found the prince’s footwear “scruffy” with some even asking if he owns another pair.
