Prince William is facing a dilemma due to another royal wedding.

According to Richard Eden, a journalist from Daily Mail, the Duke of Cambridge is torn between attending Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding and the FA Cup Final as both events are scheduled on the same day. “Poor William, it will give him another headache,' a courtier tells me. Ella Windsor attended William's wedding in 2011 and he would want to return the compliment,” Eden wrote.

Prince William also faced the exact same dilemma a year ago after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose a wedding date that also fell on the FA Cup Final in 2018. Kate Middleton’s husband is the president of the Football Association and is expected to present the trophy to the winners at the event. However, he was also chosen as the best man for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal wedding.

Prince William opted to skip the football event and missed the match between Chelsea and Manchester United. The Duke of Cambridge gave the honor of presenting the trophy to the winners to Jackie, the widow of England star Ray Wilkins.

A number of netizens blamed Prince Harry for his brother’s dilemma at the time, since he choose a wedding date that fell on the same day as the big event Prince William was expected to attend.

“I think Harry should have changed the date instead of putting his brother in a situation to choose!” one netizen wrote.

It remains unknown if the Duchess of Cambridge will attend Lady Gabriella’s royal wedding without Prince William. However, previous reports claimed that the fab four and the Queen might not make it to the event.

According to royal commentator Robert Jobson, Queen Elizabeth II will not be returning to St. George’s Chapel this spring where Lady Gabriella’s wedding will be held. Also, while there is a big chance most senior royals will turn out, Queen Elizabeth II is unlikely to do so because “it may be a bit distant.”

Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle are also likely to skip it. Richard Fitzwilliams cited the royals’ absence in her brother’s wedding.
