Prince William received a surprise gift for his daughter Princess Charlotte.

On Tuesday, the Duke of Cambridge was hosting investitures at Buckingham Palace when he was handed a present for his and Kate Middleton’s only daughter, Princess Charlotte. The gift was from gold-winning netball champion Geva Mentor, who was made a CBD for services to the sport.

“I mentioned that I had a netball for little Charlotte, I think it's so important that kids know what netball is and grow up with it,” Mentor told the Press Association.

Mentor was a former England captain. She helped the national team secure bronze in the 2019 Netball World Cup. Mentor and her teammates also won a Commonwealth gold last year.

The 4-year-old royal has inherited her mom’s passion for sports. According to previous reports, Princess Charlotte is a natural when it comes to tennis. Also, she and her big brother Prince George have regular tennis lessons at Hurlingham Club in Fulham, south-west London.

Princess Charlotte also inherited Prince William and Princess Diana’s dancing prowess. Last year, she was spotted by the window during the RAF centenary celebration showing off her dance moves which delighted royal fans, and they were very pleased when she grooved to the music.

Prince William confirmed that Princess Charlotte loves to dance. When the future king met Malta’s leader Joseph Muscat and wife Michelle Muscat, they shared light-hearted moments about their kids.

Mrs. Muscat told the duke that their twin daughters Etoille Ella and Soleil Sophie were attending stage school. Prince William confessed, “My daughter Charlotte loves dancing.”

In related news, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are just like any other parents when they are holidaying with their kids. An insider told Us Weekly that Prince William and Middleton are very down to earth. The family does normal things like watching movies together, grilling BBQs, playing board games and having family football matches.

Since Prince George and Princess Charlotte are already in school, the future queen consort has more “me time.” During her free time, Middleton usually exercise and does her grocery shopping. She also catches up on backlog of work or treats herself to pampering sessions like getting a mani-pedi or new highlights.
