Prince William and Prince Harry have similar parenting styles thanks to their mom, Princess Diana, according to a body language expert.

Expert Judi James recently analyzed the Duke of Cambridge's body language when talking to or interacting with his children, particularly his and wife Kate Middleton's 7-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte, who recently appeared in a viral video with her dad and joined her parents at a 2022 Commonwealth Games event in Birmingham, England, Tuesday.

James told Express U.K. that similar to his younger brother, Prince William publicly expresses how proud he is of and how much he loves his children, who also include 9-year-old Prince George and 4-year-old Prince Louis.

"William and Harry share this trait of ongoing, very open affection for their children which, although it is common among all dads, might be more unusual with royals," she claimed. "Royals will often prefer to be more private about their emotions as parents. It seems to have been taken from Diana's example of parenting."

According to James, the Duke of Sussex "idolizes his two children" with wife Meghan Markle: son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1.

"Both brothers seem to have been transformed in some ways by their roles as fathers, keen to discuss the legacy they will be leaving their children," she told the outlet.

Prince William is often "besotted" when talking about his daughter, according to the body language expert.

"William's body language as he talks about his daughter is bashful, self-effacing, playful and, of course, besotted," James claimed.

Discussing the prince's body language during recent appearances with Princess Charlotte, the expert noted that "he keeps his head down and raises one hand as though allowing or acknowledging a sense of dominance from Charlotte."

She explained, "William is clearly allowing for the fact that his daughter is growing up and learning to be assertive, and we can see the pride on his face along with the more playful expression."

During Tuesday's swim meet at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Princess Charlotte was photographed smiling as she gave her dad an approving thumbs up. The little royal was also seen laughing among the spectators while receiving guidance on the different events from her mom.

The outing marked the first time Princess Charlotte had attended a royal event alongside her parents on her own. Her older brother Prince George has attended a handful of solo events with Prince William and Middleton over the years. Last month, he joined them at Wimbledon.

Prior to the swim meet, Princess Charlotte also joined her father to issue a special message of good luck to the England women's soccer team Sunday, ahead of their Women's Euro 2022 final win against Germany.
