Prince William used to do a surprising activity to help him wind down from work.

In the documentary “Kate and William: The First Year,” it was revealed that the second in line to the throne used to wind down from an intense day at work by popping into his local pub for quiz night.

Former pub landlord Leuan Jones recounted the night Prince William visited the establishment. He said that he was in the kitchen at that time.

“One of the staff came through and said: ‘Prince William is here!’ And I said, ‘No, there is not a chance,’” Jones said.

Pub quiz regular Gwynn Jones said that he sat on the table opposite Prince William and the latter was friendly.

“He actually said to me, ‘do you know what color the Simpsons card is?’ I couldn’t help myself and I said ‘I think it’s royal blue…’ He laughed his head off when I said that,” he said.

Gwynn did not reveal who Prince William was with at that time but Daily Mail claimed that the future King was with his work friends or Kate Middleton. The publication said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often visited the award-winning White Eagle at Rhoscolyn on the northwestern tip of Anglesey.

A source told the publication that Middleton and Prince William were just like any other couple in love until they saw that they’ve got armed bodyguards on the next table.

The source also said that Prince William usually drinks a pint or two of beer and Middleton typically sticks with white wine and sparkling water. Prince William also enjoys home-made burgers and chips, while Middleton usually eats salads and fish.

Middleton and Prince William have been married for 8 years. The couple will be celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary this month. The couple has been blessed with three children together, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
