Prince William, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle lost hundreds and thousands of followers overnight.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not own personal social media accounts, but there are Twitter and Instagram accounts for them that are managed by Kensington Palace. However, according to Hello! Kensington Palace’s Instagram account lost at least 150,000 followers earlier this week.

It was believed to be a glitch on the social media platform. Instagram has been taking steps to limit fake accounts on its platform.

“We're aware of an issue causing a change in account follower numbers for some people right now. We're working quickly to fix this,” Instagram’s spokesperson told the publication.

Twitter has announced earlier that their follower accounts might change on a regular basis as “part of [its] ongoing work to proactively identify and challenge problematic account.” The social media giant has been removing locked accounts since July last year.

In related news, Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle will not be repeating their joint engagement at the Royal Foundation Forum. Last year, the fab four made their first official royal outing as one on the said event.

According to Cliff Renfrew, a journalist for Radar Online, the said forum was supposed to be an annual event but there would be no fab four reunion this year. Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Markle will instead be having separate engagements with the charity.

In January, Middleton held a private meeting with Lorraine Heggessey, CEO of the Royal Foundation. Prince William, Prince Harry and Markle also reportedly met with Heggessey individually.

The lack of reunion at Royal Foundation Forum only fueled the reports that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are feuding with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The fab four has been rumored to be having a rift for some time now.

According to some insiders, Middleton and Markle couldn’t get along well together. However, some sources claimed that it was actually Prince William and Prince Harry who have issues because the latter was “riled” when his older brother questioned his relationship with Markle. The Duke of Sussex reportedly felt that Prince William was trying to ruin his relationship with the former “Suits” star before it even began.
