Princess Charlotte has inherited a number of traits from her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

According to Chelsea Leary, at such a young age, Prince William and Kate Middleton's only daughter is already proving that she's carrying Princess Diana's legacy. The two royals share an uncanny resemblance and have the same interest in sports and hobbies.

They look the same

When Princess Diana was similar to Princess Charlotte's age, they look the same. They share the same smile, eyes and nose. A number of royal fans have noticed this and the striking resemblance is undeniable.

"I have been saying – for a while now – that Charlotte is going to look a lot more like Diana than anyone thinks," one fan commented in this post.

"The lips and the way she is smiling is similar to Diana," another one added.

"Princess Charlotte is so like her Grandma Princess Diana…..She is so beautiful." another user agreed.

They love to dance

Princess Diana wanted to be a ballerina. In fact, she studied ballet as a child. However, she became too tall to continue to excel in the craft. She became a big supporter of the English National Ballet until her death. She was even seen greeting the ballerinas at the Royal Albert Hall before a performance of Swan Lake.

On the other hand, Prince William just revealed that his daughter loves to dance, too. Last March, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle united to celebrate Commonwealth Day. During the said event, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that Princess Charlotte loves dancing.

"My daughter Charlotte loves dancing," Prince William said.

Horseback Riding

Princess Diana spent time riding horses. She learned from horseback-riding instructor James Hewitt. The two had a five-year affair.

On the other hand, Princess Charlotte also enjoys the same hobby. Middleton shared this with equestrian Natasha Baker.

"I asked her how the children were, and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding which is great to hear," Baker said. "And I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time."

"She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion for horses and although she doesn't echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it," Baker said about Middleton's reaction.
