Princess Diana famously called out the fact that Camilla Parker Bowles was Prince Charles’ mistress during their marriage, but a new report claims that she was so worried about the other woman coming between her and her husband that she obsessively looked for her on her own wedding day.

According to Express UK, as Princess Diana walked down the aisle of St. Paul’s Cathedral to wed Prince Charles in 1981, she was on the lookout for Parker Bowles. The website quotes Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s personal butler, from something he revealed in the 2017 Amazon Prime documentary “The Diana Story.”

In that documentary, Burrell revealed a conversation he had with Diana where she admitted to looking for Parker Bowles at the wedding because she was already aware the woman could be a problem for her marriage.

“’The most wonderful thing was walking down the aisle of St. Paul’s Cathedral with my father,’” he recalled Diana saying to him. “’But did you ever look at the footage of that?’”

Burrell admitted to seeing it, and Diana told him to pay attention to the fact that as she walked down the aisle, she continued looking from side to side.

“’Do you know what I’m doing? I’m looking for her. I’m looking for Camilla,’” she told Burrell.

Parker Bowles was actually in attendance at the event, because her own husband at the time, Andrew, was a part of the wedding procession.

Unfortunately, the royal couple’s marriage wasn’t meant to be, and after several rumored affairs on both ends, the pair eventually divorced. Their split was finalized in 1996, and Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. Charles went on to marry Camilla in 2005.
