“Octomom” Mandy Allwood recently credited Princess Diana for helping her with the death of her eight babies years ago.

Allwood rose to fame in 1996 when it was reported that she was pregnant with eight babies. But her six boys and two girls, who were born over the span of three days, didn’t survive. On the 22nd year of their deaths, Allwood revealed to the Daily Star that it was Princess Diana that helped her cope with her loss.

The late Princess of Wales reached out to Allwood, and they met at The Ritz or The Dorcester in London.

“She gave me a hug, showed me lots of support. When we first met she said to me, ‘thank you for keeping me off the front pages for a change.’ We talked about her depression and my panic attacks and she told me she had been there too. We spoke about her family and she talked a lot about Charles and Camila,” she said (via The Sun).

According to Allwood, Princess Diana reached out to her five weeks after the death of her eight babies. The two women had the opportunity to hang out twice. Allwood and Princess Diana’s meetings were very private, and she wasn’t allowed to take photographs of or with the princess.

Throughout her life, Princess Diana has also touched several other people’s hearts. In 2016, US Weekly compiled some of the royal’s letters to Buckingham Palace steward Cyril Dickman, who passed away in 2012. The handwritten notes have been put up for auction.

In one of the letters, Princess Diana described her sons’ loving relationship with each other.

“William adores his little brother and spends the entire time swamping Harry with an endless supply of hugs and kisses hardly letting the parents near!” she wrote.

Princess Diana also told Dickman in 1992 that Prince Harry constantly gets himself into trouble while in boarding school.

“The boys are both well and enjoying boarding school a lot. Although Harry is constantly in trouble!” Princess Diana wrote.

Prince Charles’ ex-wife passed away on Aug. 31, 1997, following a fatal car crash in Paris.
