PS5 Accessories, DualSense 5 To Start Shipping To Retailers Ahead Of Console Release

Sony emailed fans that the PS5 accessories would be released Oct. 30, weeks ahead of the console's launch. Several fans shared photos suggesting that some PS5 accessories are already available in some local stores in the U.S.

Several Walmart customers shared on their respective Twitter accounts pictures of PS5 accessories in their local Walmart stores. Stock tracking site BrickSeek claims that the DualSense 5 is now in stock in several cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The presence of PS5 peripherals was further confirmed by YouTuber Ryan Biniecki, who lives in Houston, Texas.

It appears that the PS5 peripherals are not yet for sale since no visible price sticker is attached to the boxes. Sony announced that the new PlayStation controller costs $70. The sticker shown in one of the images could be that of the wireless headphones beside the box of the DualSense 5.

A few days ago, several fans claimed to have been able to purchase the new PS5 controller. A reseller’s website in the U.S. listed one DualSense 5 controller available for sale. It has yet to be confirmed if any customer was able to purchase any of the listed PS5 peripherals from Walmart.

The images seemingly indicate that major U.S. retailers are already receiving their stocks of PS5 accessories ahead of their official release. It a little surprising seeing those accessories on display at some Walmart stores. Fans planning to purchase PS5 accessories should keep an eye on this since PS5 pre-orders quickly runs out.

Several retailers like Sony’s official store and Target already changed the release date of PS5 peripherals to Oct. 30. Simply Games, a U.K. retailer, claimed that the release date of PS5 accessories in the region is now scheduled to Nov. 12, which is a week ahead of the initial release date. This claim aligns with the listing of Game and Amazon U.K. on the release date of PS5 accessories and DualSense 5 controller.
