“Quantico” has had one question agonizing viewers throughout Season 1: who is the terrorist? After the Grand Central bombing, everyone has been made to look like a suspect at some point, but the midseason finale will finally reveal the answer. The episode 11 synopsis confirms a major reveal, but that doesn't mean the case is closed.

“The terrorist responsible for the bombing of Grand Central Station is finally revealed,” the synopsis teases. Finally, audiences will know which classmate(s) betrayed Alex (Priyanka Chopra). However, the mystery won’t be over yet.

“But instead of answers, more questions remain,” the synopsis adds. Even after the terrorist is revealed, their motive still needs to be explained. Also, Simon revealed in the last episode that he planted the bombs, but he didn’t intend for them to go off. The team will have to determine how someone could have overhauled his plan, executed it without anyone suspecting them him/her and framed Alex.

In the trailer for episode 11, titled “Inside,” a bomb is shown counting down. It’s possible that even with the reveal of the terrorist, there could still be another explosion before they are exposed. Despite the need to uncover the truth, Shelby’s (Johanna Braddy) personal drama will still be a focus. The trailer gives audiences their first look at Senator Claire Haas (Marcia Cross), whose husband (Mark Pellegrino) Shelby had an affair with. The senator doesn’t seem happy to meet her husband’s mistress. Watch the promo video for the “Quantico” midseason finale below:

While the situation gets even more intense in the flash-forwards, the NATs (new agents in training) will finally get a break in the present. “The recruits receive a well-deserved few days off for the holidays, but not everyone is oh so merry when secrets are revealed and lines and blurred,” the synopsis teases. After so many secrets were exposed in episode 10, how many more secrets are waiting to be revealed?

“Quantico” Season 1, episode 11, the winter finale, airs Sunday at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
