Queen Elizabeth has been on hand for all of the weddings of her grandchildren. But there are claims suggesting that she may skip the upcoming nuptials of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Princess Beatrice’s fiancé is from Italy, and there are rumors suggesting that the couple wants to tie the knot there. If they decide to do so, it is unlikely that Her Majesty would fly to Italy just to attend her granddaughter’s nuptials.

While speaking with OK! magazine, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that the only way for Her Majesty to attend Princess Beatrice’s big day is if it will be held in London. The Queen, who is 93 years old, no longer travels overseas.

In fact, she has also passed on some of royal tours and engagements to the younger members of the royal family because traveling has become even more taxing and dangerous for her.

Meanwhile, Seward said that Princess Beatrice would most likely figure out a way to ensure that the Queen would be at her wedding. The royal expert described Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter as more pliable compared to Princess Eugenie.

As such, Princess Beatrice feels more pressure to keep everyone happy when it comes to organizing her big day. It is also important to note that her grandfather, Prince Philip, is already 98 years old. It is also unlikely that the Duke of Edinburgh would travel to Italy just to attend her wedding.

In related news, Seward also weighed in on the Queen’s possible reaction to Princess Beatrice becoming a stepmother to Mapelli Mozzi’s child. The royal expert said that the monarch is quite fond of Princess Beatrice, and she’s also modern so this is not an issue to her.

As of late, Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding venue and date have not yet been announced by the palace. What is only known is that they will tie the knot next year.
