Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry have a “very special” relationship.

The Queen has maintained a great connection to her grandchildren Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and more. However, among them, the Duke of Sussex has something that just tickles their grandmother’s heart.

“I think in public we can see that the Queen does let her guard down a bit with Prince Harry. There’s a very special relationship,” Grant Harrold said.

“Sometimes, I wonder if maybe he reminds the Queen a little bit of Prince Philip,” he continued.

When Prince Philip was about the same age as Prince Harry, they looked the same. There were several photos showing how the grandfather and grandson have the same look. In these pictures, there is no doubt that Prince Harry has the Windsor blood and Prince Philip’s.

According to Melanie Bromley of E! News, the Queen has a more “fun” granny-to-grandson relationship with Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s youngest son compared to Prince William, the future king. This is probably because the monarch’s relationship with the Duke of Cambridge is “half family and half business.”

The Queen is also game in participating in Prince Harry’s playful takedowns. On her 92nd birthday, Meghan Markle’s husband gave a speech and joked at the monarch’s expense telling his royal grandmother that she’s very difficult to buy gifts for.

Queen Elizabeth II has given Prince Harry a lot of favor. Last year, she made a bold move by naming Prince Harry as the new president of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust charity. She also allowed Markle to celebrate Christmas with them even if she was not married to Prince Harry yet in 2017.

Markle was the first royal fiancée to spend Christmas Day with the royal family. According to an insider, when Prince Harry asks the Queen something she would always say “yes” because she adores him.

The biggest thing that Queen Elizabeth II probably did for Prince Harry was convincing him not to abandon his royal life. According to royal experts, the Duke of Sussex was a reluctant royal and at one point in his life he was willing to give up everything just to live a normal life. Her Majesty convinced her grandson to stay and carry on with his duties in the Firm.
