Queen Elizabeth II made a touching gesture to Mike Tindall and Zara Tindall after the latter suffered from a miscarriage.

While speaking on the talk show “House of Rugby,” Mike said that his wife’s grandmother put on a private Christmas Day church service for the three of them in Sandringham just a month after the miscarriage.

At that time, the Queen also wasn’t feeling well so they decided to come together and attend the church service privately. Mike also said that Her Majesty normally wears dark-colored clothes during sad times, but she opted to wear bright colors in 2016.

“I was like, ‘maybe I should be wearing something a little different today,’ but I was trying to raise the mood,” he said.

The Tindalls tied the knot in 2011, and Zara had two miscarriages following their eldest daughter Mia Tindall’s birth in 2014. Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Lena, just after another miscarriage.

In July, Zara talked about her two miscarriages during her interview with the Sunday Times magazine. She said that the hardest part of what she experienced was having to tell everyone what happened even though they already knew what was going on.

“I had to go through having the baby because it was so far along. I then had another miscarriage really early on. You need to go through a period where you don’t talk about it because it’s too raw, but as with everything, time’s a great healer,” she said.

In related news, the Queen also made headlines this week after it was reported that she needs to move out of the Buckingham Palace in 2025. The palace is currently undergoing a refurbishing that will cost over $468 million, and the renovations will span 10 years.

A source said that Her Majesty is immensely pragmatic and wants to stay in the palace. But when it comes down to it, the Queen wants to be told where she should go.

Prince Philip, who was involved in the 1992 restoration of Windsor Castle, is keen to follow a phased approach in the reservicing of the project.
