Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip usually don’t show public display of affection, but sometimes they do.

The royals deemed holding hands and other forms of PDA unprofessional. So, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh rarely pack on PDA but one time they were photographed kissing each other’s cheek as they bid goodbye to attend different engagements.

In this photo shared by The Windsors Family on Instagram, the senior royals are at the based of the airstair. Prince Philip touched the Queen shoulder while Her Majesty placed her hand on Prince Philip’s chest as they kissed goodbye. The snap was taken in Canada in 1982.

The couple was to part ways as Queen Elizabeth II was headed back to the UK while the duke was set to visit the USA. The Queen looked elegant in her matching blue coat and hat. On the other hand, Prince Philip looked smart in his black suit.

It wasn’t the first time Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip packed on PDA. In 2015, the 97-year-old was photographed assisting his wife by holding her hand as Queen Elizabeth II stepped down at St. Paul’s Cathedral after attending the Service of Commemoration.

In related news, the Queen stayed close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Maundy Thursday when she attended a service at St. George’s Cathedral in Windsor. The venue was only 10 minutes drive away from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new home, Frogmore Cottage. The monarch was accompanied by her granddaughter Princess Eugenie.

She commemorated the occasion by offering alms to senior citizens and retired pensioners recommended by clergy and ministers of all denominations. She also distributes Maundy Money to people from all across the U.K.

Queen Elizabeth II has a sweet spot for Prince Harry. According to Grant Harrold, Queen Elizabeth II let her guard down with Prince Harry because they have a very “special relationship.” He couldn’t explain why and suggested that it may be due to the Duke of Sussex’s looks because he has the same appearance as Prince Philip when the senior royal was younger.

The similarities of the two royals are apparent in these photos. In fact, due to these shots, many believe that Prince Harry has the Windsor blood.
