Queen Letizia of Spain looked stunning in a monochrome outfit during the inauguration of the 35th ARCO International Contemporary Art Fair at the Ifema exhibition site in Madrid Thursday. The 43-year-old queen joined her husband King Felipe VI for the event.

Letizia turned heads with her white shirt that she paired with black leather cropped trousers. Her shirt was simple with long sleeves while her trousers featured a high waist and wide leg. It added a risqué touch to her ensemble.

She added a pop of color to her elegant yet conservative ensemble with an eye-catching pink jacket. It featured a round neck, long sleeves and oversize pockets. Letizia carried a matching envelope clutch bag.

The mother-of-two completed her look in a pair of black lace-up high heels. Letizia accessorized with drop jeweled earrings in green and pink stones. Her make-up was flawless as always with a slick of dark pink glossy lipstick, a hint of blusher and soft smoky eye make-up.

The fashion icon showed off her beauty credentials in one of the season’s biggest beauty trends — braided hair. The Spanish royal, who is known for her effortlessly glamorous up dos, wore her glossy brunette tresses swept up into an elegant chignon. The low bun was plaited.

As Letizia turned her head, she also showed off the two French braids on either side of her middle parting, for an extra touch of glamour to the look. Meanwhile, Felipe looked handsome in a deep gray suit and trousers combo. The Spanish monarch paired it with a crisp white shirt, a patterned striped tie and black shoes.

Meanwhile, Letizia’s favorite designer Felipe Varela made a comeback to his home runway the Madrid Fashion Week after a gap of 14 years. The Autumn/Winter 2016 collection of the local designer featured a lot of Swarovski crystals. Letizia opts for his creations due to their classic style.
