Rapper Future thinks that Ciara’s lawsuit against him was “absurd,” TMZ reported Wednesday. Ciara, 30, reportedly filed a lawsuit against her former fiancé in response to his recent comments on social media and in radio interviews.

According to TMZ, a source said that Ciara had bad-mouthed Future several times in public — mainly her 2015 song “I Bet.” The lyrics of the song go like: "You know that it hurts your pride but you thought the grass was greener on the other side. I bet you start loving me as soon as I start loving someone else. Somebody better than you."

The song is widely speculated as being based on Future’s alleged cheating on Ciara. The insider told TMZ that even Future could have sued Ciara over the song but he did not want to be “petty.”

Last month, Ciara reportedly dismissed Future’s allegations that she stopped him from meeting their son. Future recently posted a series of tweets calling Ciara a “b----” and accused her of banning him from seeing his son.

"Ciara has said that Future uses the situation to promote his music by staying in the press using her name," a source reportedly said. "He is jealous she has moved on and is happy. He is unable to move on and co-parent in a healthy way. Future has told her he hopes she fails in everything she does and that's just being evil," the insider added.
