First lady Melania Trump's spokeswoman slammed rapper T.I. on Tuesday over his new music video that featured a first lady lookalike stripping in a fake Oval Office. In the video, the lookalike wearing Melania's "I Don't Care" jacket removed her clothing.

"Like it or not, she is the first lady and this is the White House," Stephanie Grisham, Trump's communications director, told CNN in a statement. "It's disrespectful and disgusting to portray her this way simply because of politics. These kinds of vulgar attacks only further the divisiveness and bias in our country — it needs to stop."

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, stars in the video as himself, seated at a fake Resolute Desk in a setting made to look like the Oval Office. On Friday he tweeted: “Dear 45, I ain’t Kanye” before sharing the video. The reference to rapper Kanye West comes after his visit to the White House last week which was criticized by several people.

The video begins with President Donald Trump taking off from the White House in Marine One plays, and shortly afterward, a woman resembling the first lady enters the "Oval Office." The woman wearing Melania's controversial Zara jacket from her June trip to Texas shows her moves.

After West's visit to the White House showing support for Trump, T.I. posted a lengthy message on Instagram:
"Embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen. Now I recall you asking me to come with you to have this meeting and I declined (naturally)... but bro... if ain’time I would’ve been in there wit you and you behaved that spinelessly in my presence,I feel that I’d be compelled to slap de’Fuq outta you bro For the People!!!"

West met with Trump to discuss a range of issues, such as the prison system, the 13th Amendment and ways to improve life for African-Americans in inner cities. West, who sported a red "Make America Great Again" hat, said Trump was on a "hero's journey."

Several Twitter users slammed T.I. for the latest music video, while some showed support.

One user wrote, criticizing the rapper: "Rapper TI is a disgusting role model for his kids. He could not even BEGIN to walk in Kanye's shoes. And Melania? Kind of WAY OUT of his low life league. The video of him sitting in the Oval office is the biggest joke of all."

Another said in support of T.I.: "So Melanie is upset that Rapper TI made a video depicting her nude and dancing for him in the Oval Office. She’s calling for him to be boycotted. Hey Melania why didn’t you call for a boycott against your moron husband when he ripped children from their families at the border?"
