While fans may be excited about “The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 11 premiere, those who were close to Bethenny Frankel’s ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields are reportedly furious the cast member plans on discussing his death in her storyline.

Shields was found dead in his apartment in August 2018. Since then, Frankel has dedicated several social media posts to her former beau, and following the release of the “RHONY” Season 11 trailer, it became clear that she will be sharing how his death affected her with Bravo viewers.

RadarOnline recently published an article claiming friends of Shields are not happy that Frankel will be speaking about the late businessman on her reality series.

“A man is dead, and his wife and children are still mourning the death of a husband and a father. Yet Bethenny has decided she will reopen wounds by using his death to make TV,” an alleged insider told the site.

The mysterious tipster went on to suggest Frankel “should be ashamed of herself” for turning Shields’ death into a spectacle in order to gain more attention and fame.

“Just because she wants every second of her dysfunction live on camera, it doesn’t mean everyone does. This is just wrong,” the suppose confidant shared.

Frankel has not acknowledged rumors of backlash about her choice to document her grieving process following Shields’ death.

“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 11 premieres March 6 at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
